As of June 10th until July 10th, the Football European Championships will be taking place in France. For the football fan his is great news, 1 month of international football watching the best players from around Europe going head to head.
But what if you’re not a football fan? Well I’m afraid you’ll be spending the next few weeks trying to remember what time Coronation Street is on because ITV are showing Romania v Switzerland at 7:30pm.
Worry not though, because here 6 activities that will get you out of the house and away from the pubs just long enough for you to miss the matches!
Complete over 20 unique challenges at GoClimb, the brand new climbing attraction in Billingham Forum. Le your imagination run on the space wall, mirror wall and lightning wall as well as taking on the parabolic slide and leap of faith.
Again, another 90 minute session will get you away from the football for just the right amount of time.
This brand new high ropes course at Tees Barrage, offers a 90 minute session of fun for all the family for as little as £7.50 per person!
Tackle the many obstacles, including rope bridges, zip lines and walk the planks 18 metres above the River Tees!
White Water Rafting
If the game goes to extra time, try a 2 hour session of White Water Rafting at Tees Barrage International White Water Centre. Let your wild side run the show and take on the rapids with up to 8 of your mates. No previous white water experience is needed – just dive straight in!
Cool off from the football at Billingham Forum Ice Arena. Try the ladies only Make Your Move session every Monday from 7:30pm – 9:30pm. Fellas, Simply Skate sessions are on every day, which of course are open to all.
Activ8 Fitness Class
Miss the first half and try a 45 minute Les Mills Body Combat class with Activ8. If that’s not for you, Piloxing, Spinning and AquaFit are all 45 minute sessions.
Enjoy a leisurely swim or race down the flumes at Splash. Enjoy a 1 hour session in the pool and maybe spend some time in the Jacuzzi after for good measure, just to make sure you know the football will be defiantly be finished when you get home!
